Somedays I think "never say never"...Tim-<br /><br />Somedays I think "never say never". It takes a lot of time to train well, and this summer has given me even more respect for others in the sport. <br /><br />Nutrition is something I've practiced a lot and have been using the same formula for a few years now. It's nice to know how my body reacts to it, but it also means I have to carry it with me on the course.<br /><br />I never really paid attention to HR when training, so that was a last-minute decision. I wish I would have read more about how to use it properly while racing.<br /><br />I was very lucky with my degree of cramps. Many people we much worse off then I was. <br /><br />Fast is relative :) The women that won my age group is fast...me, not so much. No way!<br /><br />I'm impressed by how thoughtful you were about everything: nutrition, heart rate, etc.<br /><br />Interesting too you also deal with cramps or almost-cramps.
